Basic Philosophy

Nitto's business practices have been guided by environmental principles since 2006, the year we received our ISO14001 certification, the international standard for an environmentally responsible management system.

Environmental Policy

1. Upholding environmental protection as a pressing issue, we as a company involved in the business of logistics, will evaluate our activities' impact on the environment, set goals within our technological and economic means and consistently strive to better protect our environment.
2. Energy efficiency, promoting the preservation of our resources, reducing waste and recycling -- these are policies that form the common thread running through all the businesses we engage in.
3. We abide by all environmental laws, agreements, regional ordinances and other demands in our effort to prevent contaminating the environment.
4. Our environmental targets and goals will be reviewed regularly to keep our policies current while we continue improving our environmental management system.
5. These environmental principles will be documented and used to educate our entire staff. We will also offer guidance to our related companies, which will be required to adopt these principles.
6. These environmental principles will be made public and appear on the homepage of our website.

ISO Certification

In 2006, we received our ISO14001 certification, the international standard for an environmentally responsible management system. Our business practices have been guided by environmental standards ever since.
